Project Notes
The Renaissance was developed on a site that included former gravel pits and a functioning training oval for harness racing. With the stated goal of the Club being ''to recreate the golf experience, traditions and spirit of the ancient game,'' the Renaissance project was a great opportunity for me to practice what Golf Digest has referred to as my ''fully contemporary Old School golf design''.What They're Saying
"The Club opened in 2006 and was selected by Golf Inc Magazine as a "Top New Golf Development in America"."Each stroke comprehends not only an immediate problem but a future problem as well. It follows that every hazard of a hole, even the bunkers that abut upon the green of a three-shot hole, must be felt by the player at the tee. Thus the golfer is forced to assume immediate risks if he wishes to rid himself of future liabilities" Max Behr
