Project Notes
Ranked as a Top Ten New Course by GOLF DIGEST, the National celebrates its first decade in 2008. The course is decidedly old school, though, as vintage touches abound. The players who read the land at the National, and respond appropriately, will find the odds stacked more firmly in their favor. A number of the longer par fours require a player's best on both the tee and approach shots while the punchbowl green equipped 7th is eminently drive-able to those who correctly read and use the land. What They're Saying
"Cape Cod National, a 6,954 yard course was laid out by Brian Silva, a Bay State native whose designs emulate the classic plans of Jazz Age architects. Silva's use of random bunkers to dictate strategy at Cape Cod National is a throwback to that era."~ Brian McAllen, Town and Country
"A round of golf should present eighteen inspirations - not necessarily thrills, for spectacular holes can be sadly overdone. Every hole should be constructed to provide charm without being obstrusive about it."A.W. Tillinghast
